Write the vision; make it plain on tablets so that they may run who read it” Habakkuk 2:2 Welcome to the Vision. This scripture gives to messages – in relation to our project – one is a lesson of patience. Patience is a virtue; a perplexing one, indeed. Teaching us to be humble. There were times when I didn’t think this project was going to come to fruition. I found myself trying to force God’s hand because there was a message that I could not find in the project. I thought that if I pushed on, I could force God to reveal to me of the “message” behind the dialogue and the drama. It wasn’t until God said “Now you’re ready” that it all made sense and the message was clear to me. So even in the midst of uncertainly and fear and doubt, we must learn to trust God and his timing. He does all things “well” and always on time. The second is that when we minister to the world, we have to remember to uplift people by talking to them in ways that are simple, easy to understand and do not debase them. We have to keep from being haughty, or as many like to say “holier than thou”. Ministry is all about relating to people. Some ministries fail this because they do not place themselves in a position to connect to the people they are trying to “preach” to. If people feel like “You know where you’re coming from, because I’ve been there. But you’ve found a better way” then we’ve maintained our purpose in “reaching” the lost soul. Once you connect with that soul, you can then work on the healing, and renewing of their spirit, through the word. God writes the vision. We make it plain so that all who hear it, will run. Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
